VANAKKAM! (Greetings in Tamil)
My Name is Ananya Sundar, grade 5D.I come from the southernmost part of India, the state of Tamilnadu. The capital is Chennai which is one of the major cities in India. The language we speak is TAMIL. Tamilnadu is considered to be the land of most beautiful Hindu temples. We follow a great Tamil culture and tradition. Tamilnadu is also famous for its food; crispy dosas is loved all over the world. We celebrate lots of festivals all over the year and the major ones are DEEPAVALI and PONGAL. Pongal is the harvest festival celebrated for 3 days and it also happens to be the Tamil New Year. I am wearing the PATTU PAVADAI, a traditional dress of tamils. It is made of woven silk with a border of golden zari work. I am proud to be part of such a great culture.
